Objective: Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the first ten amendments to the US
Constitution.
Part I – Bill of Rights Chart (20 points)
This part of the assignment is done individually! NO PARTNERS!
Part II – Project and Presentation (110 points)

You may work individually or with 1 partner.
Each project must include all 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights.
You must use your own words in descriptions and explanations.
Be clear and accurate. You must show your understanding of the Bill of Rights.
Be creative!
10 points for each amendment done correctly, 10 points for creativity and neatness.
Choose 1 of the following projects ideas:
 Write a poem describing the amendments.
 Create a booklet explaining the rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights for a recent
immigrant to the United States.
 Make a poster that includes a written explanation of each amendment and 3 pictures of
each.
 Write a song or rap about the amendments.
 Compile a scrapbook or collage of the amendments. (Newspaper articles, pictures or
political cartoons, etc.) Must be clear which image belongs to which amendment.
 Create a cartoon depicting the amendments.
 Write a report on all amendments. Provide an explanation of each and examples in
today’s society.
 Another idea may be approved by Ms. Greene by Wednesday, December 4th.
