The staff working in year 2 are Class Teacher – Miss Pollard
Teaching Assistant – Mrs Winterbottom
We are looking forward to teaching your child this year,
and hope they will enjoy their time in year 2. The daily
routines are very similar to those established in Year 1;
children will continue to be encouraged to develop their
independence, and have fun whilst learning.
May we thank you in advance for your support. Mrs
Winterbottom and I are looking forward to the year ahead
and are sure it will be successful and productive for all.

Routines –
Physical Education will take place twice per week.
Each child should have a P.E kit in school at all times which
consists of:
pumps
white top
blue bottoms
(no earrings or jewellery to be worn)
The children have 2 Guided Reading sessions each week,
they must read every night but they must also have their
Zipper bags with their books inside with them every day.

Star of the Week –
Each week year 2 staff will choose a “star of the week”, this
award will be presented to a child every Friday, who has
worked particularly hard during the week and set a positive
example for other children.
