Physical Description
Siberian tigers are white, black, and tan in color.
The average length of one of these tigers is about 11
feet. Their tails are about 3 feet long. Male tigers can
weigh up to 700 pounds. Females are smaller and only
weigh up to 400 pounds. Siberian tigers striped fur is
similar to person’s fingerprint. No two tigers have the
same striped pattern.

Habitat
Siberian tigers are endangered animals. There only
about four 400 left. They are mostly found in Russia’s
birch forests. However, some live in China and North
Korea. People are Siberian tiger biggest predators.
They illegally hunt and kill them for their fur. They sell
the tigers body parts to people who use them to make
medicine. Efforts have been made to stop them and to
protect the Siberian tigers.

Hunting
Siberian tigers are the largest of all wild cats and
are known as their power and strength. They are
powerful hunters and will travel many miles to find
food. They hunt for deer, antelope, elk, and wild boar.
These tigers also eat mice and fish. A tiger can eat up
to 60 pounds a night. However, they generally eat
about 20 pounds at one time. They usually avoid people
but some do attack men.

A female tiger gives birth once every two years.
She has between two and six cubs in a litter. The
mother tiger takes care of her cubs. Often she can’t
find a enough food for all of them and some will die.
