the following items:
The title of your fable – 10 points
The moral of your fable- 15 points
A summary (synopsis) of your fable (what happens in your story? Get the reader’s attention!)–15 points
An illustration of the characters in your fable—10 points
An example of the Universal Theme in your fable—10 points

**THIS IS A READING TEST GRADE! NO EXCUSES!!**
Suggestions: Use other book covers or even movie posters as a reference. Don’t make a direct copy of these reference
materials but use them as inspiration. Be creative!
Universal Theme- An idea that applies to anyone regardless of cultural differences or geographic location. It is a central
idea about the human condition and deals with basic human concerns. For example, peace, faith, family, fear, and love are
considered universal themes because they can be experienced by any human being “regardless of cultural differences or
geographic location.”
*This 6 weeks students have the option to choose between completing this project or completing a scantron test in
place of their project for a reading test grade. This decision must be made by Friday, September 9th.*
