OFFICIAL WELCOME: Start O-Week right and join us at Henderson Village for the Official Welcome. Don’t miss the Indigenous ‘Welcome to Country’ and words of wisdom from
key Curtin staff. It’s the only place to be on day one of O-Week!
BALL PITS: Take a seat, make a friend, have a ball!
BUDDY BENCHES: Want to make some new uni friends? Find one of the buddy benches on campus and sit down, have a chat and make a friend.
PROFESSOR EDWIN FARQUAR AND BARRY BANISTER JNR: Keep an eye out for Professor Farquar and his pupil Barry as they roam the Campus.
GLAD WRAP GRAFFITI: The guys from The Butcher Shop will be glad wrapping trees around campus to create a makeshift canvas for their urban street art.
TEMPORARY TATTOO: Give your parents the fright of their lives with some temp ink. Airbrushed to perfection!
MINI GOLF: Find a real-world use for all that high school geometry at our pop-up mini golf course.

GREAT GABLE: The South Australians fuse alt-rock with reggae and blues, accompanied by velvet smooth melodically focused vocals.
DREAM RIMMY: Having had a great 2015, Dream Rimmy’s mix of dream pop / shoegaze-psyche local tunes are going gang busters!
RAG N’ BONE: Rag N’ Bone’s finely honed and sharp sound has been described as spanning ‘a spectrum that ranges from breathtaking ballads to noise-heavy post-punk’.
ABBE MAY: Electronica / doom pop artist Abbe May will treat your senses with a dynamic, intense musical feast.
MUCHOS MARIACHI: Perth’s only authentic mariachi group features two trumpets, a guitar, great costumes and authentic sound. They are sure to impress!
RICKY GREEN: Much loved at 2015’s O-Week, Ricky Green is back with his indie folk oceanic influenced tunes!
MINKY G AND ROSCO: Minky G and Rosco is a groovy acoustic duo that combine infectious melodies with energetic vocals to create a unique sound.
BIRD GIRL MUSIC: Bird Girl Music will leave you feeling gently, deeply kissed by good sound vibrations.
VINYL DJ: Well-known Perth DJs will be sharing this space throughout the week. Spinning some of their favourite records, expect to hear a wide mix of funk, soul, afro and
shoulder popping disco beats.
MRS RED STILTS: Juggling what life throws at you isn’t always easy. Spot Mrs Red as she strides through campus trying to locate her next very important meeting.
WOODFIRED PIZZA: Mmmmmm pizza!
PAINT STORM: Vigorous and dynamic, artist Phil Doncon creates rapid fire images in union with diverse styles of music, interspersed with dance and gymnastics.
SCITECH SCIENCE SHOW: Get those lab coats dusted off and join in the chemical fun of experiments hosted by Scitech!
STREETDANCE PERFORMANCE: Bringing street to stage, watch this group pop, freelance and break out.
CARICATURE ARTIST: Get a drawing that captures your spirit and turns you into a quirky cartoon character.
SIMON KELLY AND GAVIN: Simon Kelly and Gavin will give you a taste of what they like to call psychedelic roots reggae.
BERNARDINE: Bernardine is a multi-instrumentalist with an earthy and evocative vocal.
PERFORMERS: Expect to see a mix of circus acts that include a juggling, unicycles, hula hoops and performances that have that ‘fringe vibe’

GUILD O-DAY: O-Day is a massive day of fun, free stuff, student clubs, activities and music. With over 150 stalls, 100+ student clubs and an epic line-up of bands spread

LION DANCE: Chinese Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy will bring good luck, prosperity and happiness to O-Week with their traditional Chinese lion dance.
CHARLIE BUCKET: A DJ of all proportions! Funk, soul, hip hop, latin, afro, disco - anything to get you in the boogie mood. Charlie will be playing an eclectic mix of tunes much
like what he serves up on his RTRfm show ‘Global Rhythm Pot’.
THE WEAPON IS SOUND: These psychedelic dub maximalists make ‘some of the most genuine sounding dub the Perth scene has to offer’.
MATHAS: Perth rapper Mathas is the kind of modern, multi-faceted artist that can’t be pinned down by the rigid genre boundaries of hip hop.
AFRICAN MUSIC CIRCLES: African Music Circles will leave an impression long after their African drum, dance and music performance has stopped.
LITTLE MISS SQUEEZE BOX: A self-proclaimed international drifter, Little Miss Squeezbox is a ball of energy that will lift your spirits and make you wish you could play an
accordion too!
ADRIAN WILSON: Adrian Wilson is a folk pop acoustic soloist who plays a popular range of covers to suit any crowd. He’ll also be playing a few of his originals.
LOUIS (LUMAREE): Lumaree a local WA songwriter, joining lyrics to soft and creative melodies whilst creating a story for people to hear and connect with.
CHALKBOARD PEOPLE: Write down your hopes and dreams with these interactive walking chalkboard people.
GUILD NIGHT MARKET: The Guild’s night market is where you will find hidden treasures, brilliant bargains, music and scrumptious bites, all without leaving campus!
FLURO TRASH: The Fluro Trash trio will get you disco dancing and feeling fluro fantastic!
SATAY BBQ @ CAS: Come down and have a yarn with the friendly folk at CAS, who are well-known for a mean BBQ!

CIRCUS SHOW BY FLIPTEASE: Come enjoy circus magic and spectacle from the lovely Fliptease.
BELEZA: Drift away to the Brazilian rhythms and dancing that Beleza bring to Curtin.
JUNKADELIC: By re-envisaging ‘junk’ as a resource for making instruments, Junkadelic connect rhythm in your body to your mind.
THE BROW: The Brow are a genre-defying, dance-demanding electronic/hip hop/pop party band that play music laced with an irrefutable energy and global sounds.
HENNA TATTOO: Using natural henna ink, these tattoos can last up to 12 days. You can choose from traditional Mehandi or Arabic designs. Henna is painless, safe and
absolutely beautiful.
THE HUNTING BIRD: Folk rock with a twist of pop, The Hunting Birds are becoming major players in the local Perth scene!
TRENT-JEAN: This18 year old has a voice beyond his years, supporting the likes of Josh Pyke and Lisa Mitchell, Trent-Jean is one to watch.
RECFEST: Come down to RecFest at Curtin Stadium and see what sport, fitness and recreation at Curtin is all about! Enjoy plenty of free stuff and fun activities!
TOGA START-UP PARTY: Toga, Toga, Toga! Head in for your first night out at the Curtin Tavern (Tav). It’s your chance to socialise and meet new study mates, all in toga
