I hereby approve the draft of the Asgardian calendar for its further review and endorsement
by the Asgardian Parliament.
ASGARDIAN CALENDAR
and
NATIONAL HOLIDAYS
1. The Asgardian calendar begins on January 1, 2017 of the Gregorian calendar.
2. The Asgardian calendar consists of 13 months in the following order: January, February,
March, April, May, June, Asgard, July, August, September, October, November, December.
3. Each month of the Asgardian calendar is 28 days long.
4. The final day of the year, which coincides with December 31, 2017 in the Gregorian
calendar, does not have a date and does not belong to any month. It is called “Year Day”.
5. Asgardian National Holidays:
-October 5 in the Asgardian calendar (October 12, 2017 in the Gregorian calendar) –
Asgardia’s Birthday;
-Asgard 1 in the Asgardian calendar (June 18, 2017 in the Gregorian calendar) –
Asgardian National Unity Day;
-“Year Day” in the Asgardian calendar (December 31, 2017 in the Gregorian calendar).
6. The question of adding an extra day in a leap year will be addressed separately.
