PUBLIC NOTICE
DISPENSING COINS OF TZS 500,200,100 AND 50
The Bank of Tanzania in executing its functions has observed an
increasing demand of coins, mostly the TZS 500, 200, 100 and 50.
Consequently, the Bank wishes to notify the public that, it has introduced
a window which will serve the public in supplying coins by exchanging
with banknotes.
The service will be offered at Bank of Tanzania Head Quarters and Bank’s
Branches in Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya, Mwanza and Zanzibar.
The service will be provided twice a week i.e. Tuesday and Thursday
from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
This is a temporal arrangement which is aimed to last for six months
only, commencing on 01st December 2015 to 30th May 2016
The public is further reminded that, this service is also available to the
public at all commercial banks on daily basis during working hours.
