Blackberry Smash
In a double rocks glass,
muddle a handful of black
berries, and a sprig of mint.
Add 1 ½ oz. Boreal Juniper
Gin plus 1 Tbs. lime and stir.
Add ice and top with ginger
beer or ginger ale.
Spruce Collins
Combine 2 oz. Boreal Spruce
Gin, ½ oz. lemon juice, and ½
oz. simple syrup in an ice filled
glass. Top with soda water,
stir, and garnish with
a lemon wedge.
Nanibijou Punch
Combine 2 oz. Boreal Cedar
Gin, ½ oz. Grapefruit juice, ½
oz. Aperol, ¾ oz. lime juice,
and ¾ oz. simple syrup in a
cocktail shaker. Add ice and
shake until chilled. Strain into
a cocktail glass.
Detox-Retox
Add 1 ½ oz. Øvrevann
Aquavit to an ice filled glass.
Top with Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray
Soda (or another celery soda).
Squeeze in a lime wedge.
Norwegian Greyhound
In an ice filled glass, combine
1 ½ oz. Voyageur Aquavit with
fresh grapefruit juice.
Tipsy Arnold Palmer
Combine 1 ½ oz. Lake Superior
Vodka, 3 oz. lemonade, and
3 oz. black iced tea in an ice
filled glass. Garnish with
a lemon wedge.
Local Last Word
Shake 1 oz. Boreal Juniper
Gin, ¾ oz. Tattersall Sour
Cherry Liqueur, ¾ oz. lime
juice, and ¾ oz. Green
Chartreuse with ice until
chilled. Strain into a cocktail
glass and garnish
with a cherry.
Pineapple-Sage Gimlet
Combine 2 oz. Boreal Spruce
Gin, 1 oz. pineapple puree, ½
oz. lime juice, 1 Tbs. simple
syrup, and 1 fresh sage leaf in
a cocktail shaker. Add ice and
shake until chilled. Strain into
a cocktail glass and garnish
with a sage leaf.
Rose Gimlet
Combine 2 oz. Boreal Cedar
Gin, ¾ oz. lime juice, ¾ oz.
simple syrup, and a scant ¼
tsp. rose water in a cocktail
shaker. Add ice and shake
until chilled. Strain into a
cocktail glass. Garnish with a
rose petal, if desired.
Boozy Float
Add 1 ½ oz. Øvrevann
Aquavit to a glass. Top with
chilled root beer. Carefully
add 2 scoops of vanilla ice
cream. Serve with a straw.
Copenhagen Teahouse
Add 1 ½ oz. Voyageur
Aquavit, ¾ lime juice, and ¾
oz. brown sugar simple syrup
to a tall glass filled with ice.
Top with iced green tea and
garnish with a mint sprig.
Vikre-kazi
Combine 2 oz. Lake Superior
with ¾ oz. lime juice and ¾ oz.
Cointreau. Shake with ice until
well chilled and strain into
a cocktail glass.
Grapefruit-Basil Gin Fizz
Combine 1 ½ oz. Boreal
Juniper Gin, 1 ½ oz. grapefruit
juice, ½ oz. lime juice, and ¾
oz. basil syrup* in an ice filled
shaker. Shake to chill, then
strain into an ice filled glass
and top with soda water.
Golden Hour
Combine 2 oz. Boreal Spruce
Gin and ½ oz. Tattersall
Crème de Fleur in a tall glass
filled with ice. Top with
sparkling lemonade. Garnish
with a slice of lemon.
Cedar Watermelon Mojito
Muddle a large sprig of fresh
mint in a cocktail shaker. Add
2 oz. Boreal Cedar Gin, 1 oz.
lime juice, ¾ oz. simple
syrup, and 1 oz. watermelon
juice or puree. Shake with ice
and strain into an ice filled
glass. Top with an oz. of soda
water and garnish with
a mint sprig.
Nordic-Lemonade
Combine 1 ½ oz. of Øvrevann
Aquavit and 6 oz. lemonade
in an ice filled glass. Lightly
smash together a Tbs. of
raspberries (fresh or frozen)
with a spoonful of simple
syrup. Spoon this over the
top of the drink. Serve
with a straw.
Elderflower Fizz
Combine 1 ½ oz. Voyageur
Aquavit, ½ oz. St. Germain,
½ oz. simple syrup, and ¾ oz.
lemon juice in a shaker and
shake with ice until chilled.
Strain into an ice filled glass
and top with soda water.
Jalapeño Mango Soda
Combine 1 ½ oz. Lake
Superior Vodka, 2 slices
jalapeño pepper, ½ oz. lime
juice, ½ oz. simple syrup, and
1 ½ oz. mango puree in an ice
filled shaker. Shake to
combine, strain into an ice
filled glass and top with soda
water.
*To make syrup, combine 1 cup
fresh basil leaves with 1 cup
simple syrup and allow to steep
overnight. Strain before using.
