3 Evidence: 03-12-E Case: 07-111317 Puzzle Investigators Special Cases Unit Philosopher’s Stone Our investigators thought they struck gold when they found what appeared to be the stolen Rosetta Stone, but on closer inspection by the resident linguist, Roth Raperty, it turned out not to be the case. Unlike the actual Rosetta Stone, the writings in the respective languages do not appear to be translations of one another, though Raperty has said that the series of seven passages certainly appear to be related. He told us that “Philosopher’s Stone” is the translation of the excerpt in the second passage though, so that’s what we’re calling the stone for now, but he needs help in deciphering the rest of the excerpts.
