Students will complete their benchmark write. 2. Students will receive two articles, “Beliefs about Death” (1060L) and “The Afterlife” (1320L). 3. Students will read the articles on their own. 4. Students will engage in a discussion on what they read. 3rd block: 1. Students will receive an article titled, “Cuneiform” (1360L). Students will read this with their group and they will analyze the pictures of cuneiform tablets. 2. Students will answer the discussion question (What was the significance of cuneiform?) with their group. 3. Students will write the answer in their notebook. 4. Students will receive a quick review of POWTIDE in preparation for their benchmark write. 4th block: 1. Students will be assigned an Egyptian god or goddess to research with their partner. 2.
