Please choose from the following activities to earn at least 35 points before half term:

Create an ‘icy’ picture
List some animals that live in the Arctic or Antarctica
Find and label the 2 poles on a map
Find out about the temperature in the poles
How many hours of daylight are there in the Arctic?

What countries are in the polar region?
Freeze a small object in water, predict how long it will take to free the object
and then time this – were you right?
Make a snowflake from paper
Write an icy themed acrostic poem e.g. winter, ice, snow, Arctic, polar bear etc.

Draw and write a fact sheet about a polar animal
Write an information page on the Inuit people
Make your own iced tea and write instructions to match
Learn and recite a winter themed poem
Watch a winter movie and write about your favourite part e.g. Frozen.
