1) Mediation fees include administration costs and the fee for one mediator for a mediation of
a maximum of two hours. Mediation fees shall be paid by the party at the filing of the
mediation request and by the invited party at the time of the submission of the participation
form.
2) Should the mediation meeting exceed the two hours, the parties will pay Euros 150 for each
additional hour for disputes within bracket I, 250 Euros for each additional hour for disputes
falling within bracket II. For disputes over 500,000 a flat fee will be applied.
3) Should the invited party not reply or decline the mediation invitation or the proceedings be
abandoned before the acceptance of the assignment by the mediator, the Secretariat will
withhold 200 Euros (plus VAT) for the administration of the proceedings.
4) Mediation fees do not cover the costs of translation of documents, interpreting or the
mediator’s travel and accommodation costs when attending a mediation.
5) Where a mediation is started during the course of arbitration proceedings in the Chamber of
Arbitration of Milan, the Secretariat reserves the right to assess costs on an overall basis.
6) The parties are jointly and severally liable for payment of the costs of mediation.
