We are revising the drive/drop-off area in front of the
hospital entrance to allow for the creation of an
additional drive/drop-off area next to the new
outpatient surgery center we are building in the
Physician Office Building. The project will be loud at
times, and construction vehicles will be present in the
area. This project will last through May 11 and will
require that we dramatically shrink the hospital
drive/drop-off area until completed.

Spring and Summer Dress Code
Spring has sprung, and summer will be here before we
know it! Now that
warmer weather is
here, please be
mindful of our
Personal Appearance
policy (HR policy
271). Your
appearance has a
direct impact on patient and visitor perceptions of
Woman’s – our cleanliness and quality of care as well
as our organizational culture and sense of pride.
Clothing designed specifically for sporting activities
(e.g. sweatshirts, shorts, windsuits, etc.), casual
leisure wear such as leggings are not permitted by our
policy.
Blue jeans may be worn on Fridays only if allowed by
departmental guidelines. Blue jeans must be darkhued, in good repair, and worn with a collared shirt,
dress blouse or Woman’s T-shirt. Ripped, torn and
acid washed jeans do not present a professional
appearance and should not be worn to the hospital. Tshirts with the Woman’s logo or from Hospitalsponsored events may be worn on Fridays only but
must be neat, clean and appropriately fitted.
Thank you for your help in implementing this policy,
and Happy Spring and Summer!!
Dynamic Shopping!
Our next Auxiliary fundraiser will feature Dynamic
Shopping. They sell first quality name-brand products
for the kitchen and home. They also sell men’s and
women’s designer fragrances, personal care items,
bath and laundry products, health and wellness,
electronics, apparel, and footwear.
The sale will be held June 8 & 9 from 7AM – 4PM in
Conference Room 2. Please call Judy Peterson at
757-6267 to volunteer. All volunteers will receive
TRIPLE hours for their shifts.
Here are a few reminders:
Strong fragrances/colognes can trigger allergic
reactions, headaches or cause general discomfort to
others. This is especially important in a hospital
environment because some patients are nauseous
and strong odors create an even more uncomfortable
situation. Our policy prohibits wearing fragrances in
the workplace.
