RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
I have over fourteen years’ experience of working in a mental health setting and eleven years’
experience of working in a forensic context. Within this experience I have assessed and
treated male and female detained patients in the areas of specialism described above. I have
experience of working across a low and medium secure setting. I have also acted as an
independent psychologist in a high secure case. I have taken on cases as an independent
psychologist for mental health review tribunals and as an expert witness in respect of family
court proceedings for the last eight years. In addition to my clinical work, I am a registered
trainer and a coordinating supervisor for Forensic Psychologists in Training. I have experience
of conducting research in my fields of expertise and have several publications and have done
presentations at national and international conferences as detailed below.

REPORTS PREPARED
I have experience preparing reports as an expert witness for the family courts and as an
independent psychologist in mental health tribunal cases. I have had experience preparing
reports for and attending tribunals and professionals meetings (and occasionally parole board
hearings) on a regular basis during the 11 years I have been employed as a psychologist in a
secure forensic mental health setting.
