Theater Style
Rows of chairs facing a stage or podium, is the
most efficient use of space; consider off setting
chairs so that all attendees have a staggered view
of the speaker. For proper spacing you should
have one chair's width between rows.
Senate Style - rows of chairs curved to create a
half circle facing the speaker.
Herringbone - diagonal rows of chairs to create a
V-shape facing the speaker

Classroom Style
Seating arrangement in which rows of tables with
chairs face the front of a room and each person has
space for writing; also called schoolroom set-up.
Tables are typically 18" wide by 6 or 8 feet long and
there are two to three people per table. Tables are
typically 4' from the front of one table to the front of
the one behind.

Banquet Style
Formal, often ceremonial, dinner for a select group
of people, often in honor of a particular person.
For proper spacing you should be able to stretch
your arms wide and tables should be from one
finger tip to another apart.
Cresecent Style - similar to banquet, but with
seating only on 2/3 to 3/4 of the table; great for
quick meeting to banquet set-ups.
