VIPTA
VIPTA (Verizon Internet Provider Test Acceptance)

The VIPTA Process is an Email Notification to the Customer that is generated when Verizon has completed all required
Installation & Testing on an eligible Special Access Circuit

Circuits that are eligible for VIPTA need to be Special Access:


DS3, DS1 or 2-Wire DS0 circuits with a Smartjack or Loopable device
SES / TLS, VZON & Optical High Bandwidth Circuits

ASR’s submitted to Verizon need to have an eligible ACNA and IMPCON (Implementation Contact Number) that
matches the VIPTA Enrollment Information stored in our Database

The VIPTA Email will be sent to a customer’s designated email address. The email will provide all the test and turn up
information that normally is exchanged over the phone, such as Customer’s Order Information, Test Results, DEMARC
and CFA Information

By Enrolling in this process, no testing or direct communication will occur on date due between the Verizon Technician
and the Customer’s Technician. The email replaces the phone call to the Customer. As such, the customer will accept
an Order as completed based solely on the test results between the Verizon Center Technician and the Verizon Field
Technician

DS0 & DS1 Circuits that are turned up this way must have a loop back device so head-to-head testing is not necessary
on most circuits

Once the customer receives the email they can test the circuit at their own convenience. The Verizon
Order has been completed / closed so no additional response is required from the customer

If there is a problem with the circuit after the customer receives the VIPTA Email from Verizon, the
customer will need to open a Trouble Ticket either electronically through VTAG or by placing a call to the Verizon
Maintenance Center
