Algebraic Functions Picture Project
Objective
Create a picture using algebraic functions
Materials
Graph paper, ruler, markers, crayons or colored pencils
Name
Create a picture by graphing a variety of equations, inequalities and/or systems of inequalities.
You may use: linear, absolute value, quadratic, square root, cube root, cubic functions or other polynomials.
You may also use points.
Requirements:
 You must use AT LEAST 10 equations/inequalities in your picture.
 You must use AT LEAST 1 absolute value, quadratic, square root, cube root and cubic function.
 You must find and use the inverse of AT LEAST 1 function.
 Your picture must be colorful or outline in different colors.
 List the equations/inequalities that you used in creating your picture, including any restrictions
on x (or y).
 Identify the inverse function by using the inverse symbol
.
 Number the graphs in your picture to correspond to the respective equation/inequality.
 Center your title above your picture and put your name in the top right corner.
 Complete the rubric and paperclip it on top of your picture. Turn in your project by March 20th.
Ten points will be deducted for each school day it is late.
