The applicant, Level 4 Studio, LLC, is requesting approval of a Site Plan to allow
two prohibited paint colors to be used in the repainting of the existing Harkins
Theater building at 1450 Plaza Place located within Southlake Town Square.

The applicant is requesting approval of a Site Plan to allow two prohibited paint
colors to be used in the repainting of the existing Harkins Theater building. The
new paint colors are used in their corporate branding. The existing colors of the
building include muted tones of gold/yellow, purple, greys, and green.
Photographs showing the current building paint colors are shown in Attachment
C, pages 6-8. The proposed colors for the building include several grey tones,
purple and crimson red and are shown in a colored rendering located in
Attachment C, pages 4 and 5.
The applicant is requesting a variance to Section 33.21b, Supplementary District
Regulations of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to allow two colors found in
the prohibited color range, Crimson Red and Gumball Purple, to be used in the
paint palette.

requiring City Council review and approval of theater building
elevations prior to issuance of a building permit (ZA04-067).
November 15, 2005; City Council approved a plat revision for the
Southlake Town Square Avenue District for Blocks 3R2, 4R1, 12-14,
17 and 18(ZA06-004).
