Other large mammals that are native to the area include: Plains Zebra, Greater Kudu, Bushpig and the endangered Bontebok. “Bok” is an Afrikaans word meaning “buck”. Tracks of the Cape Mountain Leopard have been found on the reserve, but these leopards are notoriously elusive and very hard to see. Caracals are more common, but rarely seen due to their nocturnal behaviour. Most of the large mammal species are easily sighted on a safari. Enjoy your game viewing at Nyaru Game Lodge.
