offers great opportunities for
you to inspire yourself.
We offer expert and friendly
staff, great facilities and huge
range of opportunities for getting
involved in the world of work, in
the community and for learning
how to do more and new things
for yourself.
Adult Skills is a completely flexible
programme and can be started
at any time during the year.You
can join us for half a day, a full
day or for two, three, four or five
days a week and you can start at
any point during the year. It’s all
built around YOUR goals!

Adult Skills – Enrichment
If you want the chance to take part in a
wider range of activities, then we have a
lot to offer.You can get involved in: life skills,
communication sessions, dance and drama,
health and fitness, conservation groups,
creative crafts, fund-raising, gardening,
woodwork and work-based projects.
Adult Skills – Independence
It’s a great feeling when you are able to do
something for yourself, rather than have to
depend on someone else to do it for you...
talk to us about the things that you would
like to be able to do more independently. We
can work out a plan to help you achieve a
more independent life.
Adult Skills – Employability
If you want to learn more about work, an
employability-based programme can
be designed to enable you to develop
transferable work skills – the skills you need to
be an effective employee.You will also learn
about teamwork, how to present yourself,
punctuality, health and safety and interview
skills. We can give you opportunities and
support to experience work in a number
of real work settings, as well as in the
community with local employers.
Locations
Adult Skills programmes are available at
different Linkage sites in Lincolnshire, including
Toynton (near Spilsby) and Louth. However,
you can be supported flexibly and also on
an ‘outreach’ basis, closer to your home, if
you wish.The Moving On Partnership in
Grimsby provides Adult Skills programmes
for those living in North East Lincolnshire
and is accessible for Lincolnshire and North
Lincolnshire residents who live within travelling
distance of Grimsby.
We can also offer short-term placements,
including holiday activities, to suit individual
client needs, so please get in touch to tell us
about your particular requirements.
There are three programmes to choose from –
enrichment, independence and employability.
We can put together a selection of activities
from your chosen programme that meet your
needs and support you to achieve your goals.
Adult skills programmes are generally funded
through social care / personal budgets.
We also have Job Coaches who provide the
support you will need once you are ready to
move onto the next stage of getting a work
placement. Linkage has an excellent record
of helping people move into work.
