Scholarships to nurture and inspire high calibre school students to
pursue a career in Engineering and technical Design

u Applicants must be actively
considering a university degree
or higher-level apprenticeship in
Engineering or technical Design and
a career in the same subjects.

STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

Successful interviewees
receive full details of
their Sponsor and attend
a prestigious Awards
Ceremony.
November
- January
Student applications are
accepted. Each application requires
a teacher’s supporting statement. A
small application fee is charged.
July
February
All interviewees
are notified of their
interview outcome. Successful
interviewees are formally
offered a Scholarship.
Applicants
sit the two-hour
Arkwright Aptitude Exam,
which assesses applicants’
skills to design solutions to
Engineering problems.
May
- July
Successful
interviewees are
matched to available
Scholarships, based on their
interests and on the
Sponsors’ needs
March
- April
Applicants are
selected for interview
based on their Application
Form and performance in
the Aptitude Exam. Selected
applicants attend an interview
event hosted at a top university.
Parents are invited to
attend, to learn more
about Engineering.
