Welcome to August’s Newsletter
Meet Your Coordinator
Hi everyone,
My name is Justine and I am the
new Westport Newcomers
Network Co-ordinator. I have lived
in New Zealand since 1992 after
emigrating from England. I am
married to a Scotsman and we
have two wonderful children.
We have lived in many areas of
New Zealand and have now been
on the Coast for about 8 years. We
have been settled in Westport for
just over 3 of those. It is a
wonderful place to live with a
Teaching and Outdoor Education. I
am passionate about helping
people, organising activities and
getting out and active. I especially

enjoy the outdoors, exploring new
places, cooking and meeting
people. What do you enjoy? Get in
contact and let’s see if we can
organise something together.
I look forward to hearing from you
friendly community, beautiful
scenery and lots going on.
Welcome Newcomers
We are an informal social
network which supports people
in Westport. ‘Newcomers’ can
help you get in touch with each
other, local people, clubs and
organisations. We hope to help
you feel at home in your new
environment. Please feel free
to come along to our activities
or contact us.

Westport Library
New Service 
The Westport Public Library is introducing a new service – selection and
delivery of books to folk who are unable to physically access the library
through disability, illness or age. A librarian will visit to discuss what type of
books and how many books are required and then a library volunteer will
deliver a selection of books on a monthly basis. Instead of paying the
individual rental costs of the items, the rental charges are consolidated into
one annual fee of $20 – no matter how many items are borrowed.
If you are interested in this service or know of someone who may be
interested, feel free to give me a call – 788 8030 ext 1 – or email on
[email protected].
We look forward to serving the community in this way!
