If a student is not satisfying those criteria, some pre-master courses are prescribed to fill in the deficiencies. The admission procedure is somewhat different, depending of the specific bachelor program followed, the type of education, and the country in which the educational program was followed. IE&IS PAGE 2 Information about admission rules to the IE MSc Innovation Management Admission Procedures *) The admission procedures are specified in detail for each of the following categories of students: Category 1: Dutch University Bachelors Major IE (Technische Bedrijfskunde) Category 2: Dutch Polytechnic (HBO) Bachelors Category 3: TU/e Bachelor College Students (Non-Major IE) Category 4: Dutch University Bachelors (Non-TU/e, Non-Major IE) Category 5: International EER and Non-EER (Bachelor) Students EER is the Dutch acronym for ‘Europese Economische Ruimte’ (EU + Iceland, Norway, and Lichtenstein) *) Admission to the IE MSc Innovation Management is granted by the FTC. FTC is the Dutch acronym for ‘Facultaire ToelatingsCommissie’ (Departmental Admissions Committee). IE&IS PAGE 3 Information about admission rules to the IE MSc Innovation Management Category 1: Dutch University Bachelors Major IE *) (Technische Bedrijfskunde) RUG Bacheloropleiding TU/e UT Major IE = Technische Bedrijfskunde Direct and Unconditional Admittance to IE MSc Innovation Management For TU/e Bachelor College students, the bachelor USE packages New Product Development & Marketing, and Technology Entrepreneurship are recommended. IE&IS *) Only from RUG, TU/e, and UT PAGE 4 Admission from polytechnic programs to standard pre-master’s program Category 2: Dutch Polytechnic (HBO) Bachelor Students Bacheloropleiding Dutch Polytechnic (HBO) Direct admittance to the Standard Pre-Master’s Program which has to be completed before being admitted to the IE MSc Innovation Management From the academic year 2017/ 2018 onwards HBO-students have to perform an obligatory, but not binding, study orientation check (at the expense of 100€). Both a Mathematics test, and a English test are part of this check. For the academic year 2016/ 2017 a pilot runs for the pre-masters preparing for IM and OML. Participation is voluntarily, at no costs, and results are not binding. The USEpackage New Product Development & Marketing is recommended. Depending of the direction of your major you have to follow some courses about business economics and research methods. Based on your BC program, the Departmental Admissions Committee FTC decides which courses you have to follow. Admittance to the IE MSc IM after completion of a Taylor-Made, Individual Pre-master’s Program Please send a detailed request for admission to the FTC-IM: [email protected] IE&IS PAGE 7 Information about admission rules to the IE MSc Innovation Management Category 4: Dutch University Bachelors (Non-TU/e, NonMajor IE) Non-TU/e, Non-Major IE Bachelor students from Dutch universities are admitted only after a detailed analysis by the FTC. Based on your program, the Departmental Admissions Committee FTC decides whether or not you are admitted to the IE MSc Innovation Management, and if so, what taylor-made, individual premaster’s program has to be followed. Admittance to the IE MSc IM only after completion of a Taylor-Made, Individual Pre-Master’s Program Please send a detailed request for admission to the FTC-IM: [email protected] IE&IS PAGE 8 Information about admission rules to the IE MSc Innovation Management Category 5a: International EER Students At TU/e, foreign EER candidates need to apply for a master’s program via a two-stage process. First you have to send a number of doc-uments to our Central Admissions Office CAO. They check if an applicant meets a number of general requirements like validity of identification papers, certified copies of diplomas and academic transcripts, English knowledge, motivation and reference letters. If that's ok, they send your file to the Departmental Admissions Committee FTC that decides about your admission or rejection on substantive grounds.
