Masking tape
Divide into groups of four or five. Everyone in the group should empty their
pockets, wallets, pocketbooks, etc. The group should try to have one
possession that begins with each letter of the alphabet. The winning group is
the one to have objects representing the most number of letters.
2.
Back Drawing
Break people down into several teams. Have the kids sit on the floor (or in
chairs) similar to a train. With the group in single file lines, give the persons on
the back of the line an object to draw. That person then is to draw the object
you gave them on the back of the person in front of them with their finger.
Then the next person does it likewise and so on and so on until the person in
front of the line draws on paper what you gave the person on the back of the
line. The first team done and draws the best picture wins!
3.
Back To Back
Divide your group into pairs and have them sit on the floor back to back and
link arms. Then tell them to stand up. With a little timing in can be done. Then
combine the twos into a foursome and do the same. Keep adding more people
to the group until the giant blob can’t stand up.

says "Bibbidy Bop Bop". The individual he points at must say "Bop" before he
finishes or he loses and becomes the center person. If the center man says
anything other than Bibbidy Bop Bop, and the person he points at says Bop,
he loses, and moves to center.
8.
Biddleybump The
Name Game
This is a good game to get your kids to know each others' names. Have
everyone get in a circle with someone in the middle. Have everyone learn the
name of the person on their right and left. The person in the middle points to
someone and says "Right" or "Left". The person that was pointed to must say
the name of the person on the side indicated before the person in the middle
says "Biddleybump". If the person in the middle says "Biddleybump" first, then
the person that they pointed to becomes the person in the middle and the
former person in the middle takes their place in the circle. If not, the person in
the middle picks someone else and continues until he/she wins and is
replaced. This game will last as long as you allow it to.

Have everyone get a partner. Have them decide who is the birdie and who is

the perch. Have all the birdies stand in a circle and all the perches stand in a

circle surrounding the birdies. When the music starts, the birdies walk
clockwise around the circle and the perches walk counter-clockwise. When
the music stops, the birdies must find their perches and sit on them. Usually
the perch kneels on one knee, making a perch out of the other leg. The last
couple to pair up is out and the object is to be the last couple left.
10. Broom Jump Relay
Divide into teams. Team members should stand two across, facing each
other. The first couple on each team is given a broom. On "go" the couple
must each grab one end of the broom and run back through their team (broom
is held just above the floor). Everyone in the line must jump over the broom.
When the couple reaches the back of the line they must pass the broom back
to the front of the line. This is done by hands only — no throwing. Then the
second couple repeats etc. The game is won by the first team to cycle all the
way through their team.
11. Candy Match-Up
Hand out (one to each) all sorts of mixed up candy. Tell kids not to eat the
candy. Have students match theirs to others who have the same and have
them introduce each other or tell something about themselves when they get
into their groups.

Give each team a similar article of clothing and when the music starts, one

the room to the person on their team. That person then puts on the clothes
and runs back across to the next person (once a team member has gone,
have them sit down near their line). First team to finish wins.
14. Clothespin Relay
String a clothesline from one end of the room to the other, shoulder high to the
average person. Place clothespins on the line. Teams line up facing the line.
The object is to run to the line, remove one clothespin with your teeth (no
hands) and bring it back to the team. All team members do the same in relay
fashion.
15. Crap Throw
Divide the room into four sections by putting tape on the floor. Have a ton of
newspaper and toilet paper or whatever else you can find and the object is to
get all of the stuff out of your section and into the other team’s section. Set a
time limit and the team with the least amount of crap in their section wins!

in their mouth so the clothespin can be opened and closed with their teeth.
Put bowls with 10 to 12 dog biscuits in each on the floor in front of each
team’s line. The first person in each team’s line must take the dog biscuit out
of the bowl, one at a time, using the clothespin in his or her mouth. The
biscuits are then passed on to the next person and so on down the line. If a
biscuit is dropped, the person who dropped it must pick it up with the
clothespin. No hands are allowed at any time. Teams must stay in a straight
line and remain on hands and knees throughout the relay. The first team to
put all its biscuits in the bowl at the end of the line wins.
19. Dollar In The Crowd
Mingling game. One or two people have a dollar. Everyone goes around
shaking hands. Person with dollar passes off dollar to tenth person he shakes.
Keep going...if you get dollar, pass off to tenth person. When music stops,
person with dollar keeps it.
20. Famous People
Charades
Divide club into two teams. Each team write the names of famous people on
pieces of paper. You will need a lot of names. A person from team one comes
up and pulls a name out of the pile. They can use any description, except the
person's name while the team tries to guess. When they get it right, they pull
out another name. Time them for 30 seconds and a minute, then it's the other
team's turn.
21. Find People
….You need enough pencils and papers for everyone
22. Foot Fencing
Everyone pairs off, lock hands, and try to tap the top of one of their partner’s
feet with their own feet. In other words, one player tries to stomp on the other
player’s foot while their hands are clasped (tapping sounds a bit more
humane.) Of course, since players are also trying to avoid having their feet
stepped on, they are all hopping around the floor in a frantic dance. When a
player has had his foot tapped three times, he is out of the game, and the
winning partner challenges another winner. The game continues until only one
person is left (or until the music runs out).

fun and serious questions – and seriously fun questions.
26. Gimme A Smile

person can answer back “Honey, I love you, but I just can’t smile” without
smiling, then the person who is “it” has to try it on the next person. If they do
smile, then they are “it”.
27. Group Charades
Dive the group up and give each group something that they need to act out for
the other groups to guess what it is. Use: nasty gas in the room, fire drill, we’re
naked, etc.
28. Hula Hoop Stuff
Get several Hula Hoops. Divide the room into teams and see who can stuff
the most people in their hoop
29. Human Foosball
Line up kids with their backs to each other, there should be several rows
across the room. At each end, there's a goalie row facing the rest of the
group. You can either use chairs or have them sit on the floor. To Play the
game...You can use several 'balls'. Use anything from Nerf balls to Balloons
with a couple of pennies or a little water in them, You throw the balloon into
the 'court' and they try to get it past the goalie on the other side. They may not
hold the ball or throw it, they can only hit it. If it goes out of bounds, they
should leave it until you get it for them.

31. Indoor Scavenger
Hunt
Divide group into teams of 6 – have them find random and creative things,
using only their team members as resources – for example 4 fruit of the Loom
tags, the longest belt chain, the biggest ball of gum, family pictures, a love
letter etc. Have each team display their findings.
32. Karate, Gun, Gorilla
Pair everybody into couples and stand back to back. On the count of three
they turn around and act out either a karate move (demonstrate), a gun move
or a gorilla move. Gun kills gorilla, gorilla kills karate, and karate kills gun. Play
until there is one person standing.
33. Marshmallow Team
Toss
Divide into teams of about ten. Each team gets into a circle and appoints one
member to be the marshmallow tosser.
He or she gets a bag of small marshmallows and stands in the center of the
circle. When the signal is given, he or she tosses a marshmallow to each
team member in the circle, one at a time, and the team member must catch
the marshmallow in his mouth. The tosser cannot toss to the next player until
a successful catch is made. The first team to toss all the way around the circle
is the winner.
34. Melt that Ice Cube
Divide the group into two or three teams. Give a large block of ice to each
group. The team has to melt the ice any way they can (i.e. crushing, breaking,
friction, body heat etc.). Weigh before and after to determine winner. Prepare
for water and frostbite!
35. Michael Jackson,
Punk Rocker,
Rocky Balboa
Great for 80’s Night - Pair everybody into couples and stand back to back. On
the count of three they turn around and act out either a Michael Jackson move
(demonstrate – moon walk, etc. – avoid the crotch grab), a Punk Rocker move
or a Rocky Balboa move. Punk Rocker kills Michael Jackson, Michael
Jackson kills Rocky, and Rocky kills Punk Rocker. Play until there is one
person standing.

the bag has to put on an article of clothing. Once everyone is dressed up, go
bowling or something.
40. Musical Paper
Plates
Have paper plates scattered throughout the room. People must mingle when
the music plays. When the music stops everyone must be touching the plate.
If they are not, then they are out. Take out more plates every time.
41. Mystery Names
As students come into club put a sticker on each person’s back that has the
name of someone famous on it (prepare these before club). During the mixer
time they have to ask yes/no questions to find out who they are and then find
their logical partner. Example — Ben Affleck and Matt Damon; Kermit and

that his legs are crossed in front of him. From this position a regular game of
volleyball is played with the following changes:
1. Use a "light" beach ball type ball (or a Nerf ball)
2. Use hands and head only (no feet)
3. All serves must be made from center of group, and overhand.

Break the group into groups of 6-8. Give a word to the whole group – for
example, “Baby”. After a minute or two, the leader then randomly points to
groups and they have to sing – in unison – a line from a song with that word in
it. Teams cannot pause, repeat songs other teams have used, or sing the line
incorrectly. Swift punishment should ensue for teams that violate the rules.

everyone, then split up into groups and have each group come up with a
poem using what it says on their hearts. Have them stick them to big paper
hearts if you want – or not – it’s really up to you!

73. Wet Diaper
Challenge
Before club, place four buckets full of water at one end of the room and four

each group wait at the opposite end of the room by his or her group’s empty
bucket (they are the “next” person in line). At the signal, the first person in
each line must soak a diaper with water, then transport the diaper on his or
her head, to the empty bucket at the other side of the room. Once they’ve
reached the empty-bucket they squeeze the water from the diaper into the
bucket-using only their head and the head of the next contestant. When the
diaper is empty, the “next” team member runs back to his or her line, and then
the process repeats itself. Instruct groups to keep playing until time is up.
Measure how much water each group got into the originally empty bucket.
74. Work Gloves and
Chewing Gum
Relay
This is a relay for two or more teams using sticks of chewing gum, work
gloves, and shopping bags. Individual sticks of gum (wrapped) are placed
unwrap it and chew it (with the gloves on), run back, and then pass the gloves
to the next person. The team that finishes first is the winner.
75. Your Number Is Up
Instruct your whole group to walk randomly around the room. About every ten
seconds or so, call out a number. Everyone in the game must immediately
form a group hug made up of the number of people that you called. This
sometimes leaves some people unable to form a group because they don’t
have enough people — they are out of the game. Repeat until you only have
two people left and declare them the winners.
Outside Only
76. Bat-Round Relay
Divide your group into teams. Each team gets a baseball bat that is placed on

one end of the playing area, with the team lined up at the other end. The
object of this relay is for each team member to run to the bat, put his forehead
on the bat (in a vertical position) and run around the bat ten times while in that
position. He then returns to the team, usually so dizzy that getting back to the
team is a difficult and fun to watch experience.

Break up the group into teams of 6-8, making sure a leader is with each

group. Give each team a lightbulb and send them out into the neighborhood to
trade for something “bigger and better” than the lightbulb. Give the teams a
timeline, like 1/2 hour to get back to club and then you present your treasures
to the rest of the group. Works best in the spring when it’s light outside. Be
prepared to deal with whatever you acquire (chairs, refrigerators, etc..)
78. Blanket Ride Relay
starting line. The girl rider is positioned on the blanket (sitting cross-legged)
holding on tightly, and the first boy in line grabs the blanket assumes a pulling
position. On signal, the boy begins running while pulling the blanket all the
way around a marker at the far end, then back to starting point where the next
boy in line takes over. The blanket must be pulled completely over the line
before the next boy may pull. The first team to complete all rounds wins.
Obviously this game works best on a slick floor or on short grass.
79. Buttwhacks
All kids bend over and grab their ankles. When the music starts, everyone
tries to bump everyone else so that they let go of their ankles or fall over. The
last one bending wins. Works best outdoors. 1-2 leaders should help control
the mayhem.
80. Flour Bag Pass
small holes in the bag first). This Mixer is extremely messy so make sure the
entire club is outdoors.
81. Magic Feet
Kids lay on the floor on their backs, side-by-side, squeezed to each other an in
front of each other meeting at the feet. They are to form a single file line, sideby-side and in front of each other with their feet in the air meeting at the
bottoms. At the beginning of the line, give them a big ball to pass down the
line by using only their feet. (Have the feet work similar to that of a "gutter"
allowing the ball to move down the line.) Have them practice moving the ball
to the end of the line back to the beginning of the line. Try it in teams to see
who can pass the ball the quickest from the beginning to the end of the line.

82. Marshmallow War
!
Lots of large
marshmallows
!
Bacon
!
No supplies needed
Get four groups into 4 lines with one bucket of water on each end – like this:
!
8 buckets
0 ------------------------------ 0
!
Small paper cups
(maybe only 2-3 per
team)
Do this one outside. Break the group into two teams and create a line
separating the yard down the middle. It is best if there is a 10-20 foot “noman’s land between sides so people aren’t too close to one another. Give
each team an equal amount of Large JetPuff marshmallows (3-4 bags). As
soon as the music starts, they start chuckin’ marshmallows. When the music
stops, they are supposed to stop throwing (yeah right) and the team with the
most mallows on their side loses. Can also be done with newspapers or glass
bottles.
83. Steal the Bacon
This is just a remake of the elementary school classic. Split your group up into
two equal teams. Line the two teams 40-50 feet apart. Place an unwrapped
package of bacon between them. Assign each team member a number. Call
out the random numbers and a student from each team will try to steal the
bacon and take it back to their team. If they make it back successfully, they
earn a point. If they are tagged, the bacon is returned to the center.
84. Ultimate Tag
This game is like regular tag only everyone is 'it'. Everyone runs around trying
to tag everyone else. When you're tagged, you sit down. The object is to be
the last person left standing.
85. Water Pass
0 ------------------------------ 0
0 ------------------------------ 0
0 ------------------------------ 0
Have small cups used to pass down the water to the opposite end of the line
and fill up the empty bucket. The first line done wins.
