The Comet “C” Pattern Windmill
The “C” pattern Comet was made in sizes from 8ft to 35ft. However today it is
only available in sizes from 8 ft to 14ft – the “D” pattern is used for the larger
sizes. Parts are available from Comet Windmills. When ordering parts it is
important to state:
The Part Number
The description or
Name of the part
Size of the Windmill
The Month and year it
was supplied, and
The Serial Number
For the older larger “C”
pattern mills, the Serial
Number is found on the
side of the Main
Casting, the Vane
Sheet, and the Driving
Shaft.
There were many
changes to parts over
the many years that the
Comet has been in
production, so it is
advisable to buy parts
in a ‘kit’ form, to
ensure that they fit
properly.
