The cost of camp is $300.00 for the week.
(A day rate is also available at $60.00 per day)
Family rates are offered for $250.00 for the week,
per family member.
$75.00 Deposit Required
IO Waiver, Level 1 Waiver, Supported Living,
Extended School Year (ESY), Family Resources,
Private Pay and other funding resources are available
to cover the cost of camp. Please check with your
case manager at your local County Board of DD to
see if you qualify. Scholarships may be available
based on financial need.

(Ages 8 and Up)
June 1st – The Mighty Jungle – Where does the lion sleep tonight? In the
jungle of course! Join us for a fun-filled week as we explore the mighty
jungle & learn about the animals that live there at our local zoos & animal
rescues. We will be spending an overnight at the Cleveland Zoo to enjoy a
night hike & close up visits with many jungle creatures.
June 8th – Party in the USA – Have you ever thrown
your own party & invited friends over to celebrate.
Come with us as we learn about party etiquette & how
to create our own decorations & delicious foods. We
will enjoy shopping at the Westside Market & work on
our manners in the community.
June 15th – Wild Wild West – Join us for a fun-filled week of horseback
riding at Medina Creative Therapy Ranch. Meet our
eight therapy horses & learn how to take care of
them while also improving your riding skills.

June 22nd – Knights of the Round Table – Have you ever
visited a Renaissance Fair? Well now is the time to experience the fun of one
right here in Medina! We will enjoy a week were Lords & Ladies come to visit
us to teach us medieval crafts, archery & history from long ago. We will learn
how to weave, make soap & cook over an open fire pit during this fun-filled
week!
July 6th – Be Smart, Stay Safe – We will spend the week visiting area police
departments, fire departments & meet a real EMT. We will learn how to
make an evacuation plan for our family home & find out what to do in case
of emergencies such as floods, tornadoes & blizzards. We will also learn how
to make a home preparedness & first aid kit.
July 13th – Fantastic Fiesta – Join us for a tasty week of cooking with area
chefs as we learn how to cook Mexican cuisine &
plan our own Mexican Fiesta. We will sharpen our
culinary skills, as we learn how to make tasty
treats, & sharpen our minds, as we learn about the
culture & language of Mexico!
July 20th – Operation: Go Green – Spend a week learning
all about how we can be heroes of Earth as we learn how to reduce, reuse, &
recycle. We learn about gardening & how growing our own food reduces
waste. We will also tie dye our own t-shirts using natural dyes that we make &
make our own posters promoting recycling that we can bring home.
July 27th – Down the Rabbit Hole – Experience a week full
of fun & mischief as we explore the fun of our favorite fairy
tale stories. Learn all about opposite during our Mad Hatter
Tea Party, go on a scavenger hunt to rescue Hansel &
Gretel, & make caramel apples that even Snow White
couldn’t resist. We’ll also work on our reading & writing
skills as we write & share our own stories!
August 3rd – Barnyard Bonanza – Do you love animals? Well then this week is
the week for you! Join us for a week of intense
horseback riding & learning about farm animal care!
You will meet our veterinarian & black smith & learn
how they help us to care for all of the animals that
live at Medina Creative Therapy Ranch.
August 10th – Movin’ & Groovin’ – Join us for a fun-filled
week of games & sports. Learn how to improve your baseball, soccer &
volleyball skills as well as how to be a good sport & team player. We will enjoy
a trip to an Akron Rubber Ducks baseball game. You will be no longer be a
couch potato if you experience this week!
Every week, twice a week at Life Steps Camp our campers will get the
unique opportunity to experience therapeutic horseback riding at our
Medina Creative Therapy Ranch. This PATH certified program is supervised
by a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor.
