The month of May focused on the 7 Teaching of Truth. Truth is about knowing
what is right and wrong.
It is about respecting yourself and others enough not to lie to them but to tell
them the truth. It means
taking responsibility for what we say and do.
The turtle is one of the oldest animals on the planet and has had a long history. It
has seen many changes to
the planet and makes the connection between what the earth and water looked
like then and what they look
like now. The turtle represents truth because it lives and walks close to the earth
and sees the truth of how the
land is being treated. Because it also lives in the water, it also sees how the water
is being treated.
