Pony Express Stakeholder Report

Pony Express
Elementary PTA
received the National
PTA School of
Excellence Award for
2016 - 2018
National PTA School
Of Excellence
This is a prestigious
award that about 200
schools nation-wide
have earned.
National PTA’s School of Excellence
program supports and celebrates
partnerships between PTAs and
schools that work to improve the
educational experience and school
environment for every child. This
program provides guidance to assist
schools in engaging families in the
school decision-making, and helps
build inclusive policies related to
education, health, safety or the arts.
This year, Pony Express Elementary
made progress in bringing back an art
program to the school. Many parents
volunteered hours for this important
program. As a National PTA School of
Excellence, families feel welcomed
and empowered to support student
success, and PTA is a key partner for
continuous school improvement.

As you can see in the chart above, the students at Pony Express have
improved their SAGE scores. We are most pleased with the growth score.
Pony Express received a “C” grade, but the students are continuing to make
improvements in all areas. However, the scale used to determine grades was
changed by the state, which resulted in a “C.” With parent support, we can
continue to grow. Please come and volunteer!
More than parent
involvement, we want parent engagement!
We have two reporting formats
used to evaluate student
achievement. First, the Federal
Accountability Report and the
second, the School State
Accountability Report. This
information is provided to give
you an idea of where our
students score in relation to
other schools in the district and
the state.
