What is Reading Eggs?
Reading Eggs is an online reading program that makes
learning essential reading skills a fun and motivating
experience for 4 – 8 year olds.
The program can help a wide range of students to
become proficient readers. The diagnostic test and student
management tools enable teachers to place students at
different reading levels within the program.
Read more. Read well.
Research has shown there are 4 key elements needed in literacy programs
that aim to improve reading outcomes for 5 – 13 year olds:
Program Features
1 Students need to read more: both at school and at home.
2 Match students to text: Reading materials need to match students’
reading ability and interests.
My Program – unique to each student
3 Effective comprehension instruction: Students need to understand and
think about what they read using a range of comprehension strategies.
4 Motivation: Students are motivated to keep reading and learning.
