Direct object pronouns
lo, la, los, las could be used to refer to either people or objects.
*The direct object pronouns (pronombres de complemento directo) replace a direct object that has already been stated or if it is understood. The pronoun must agree in number and gender with the direct object it is replacing or referring to.
Ejemplos:
‐Yo llamo a Lisa.
‐ Pedro prefiere leer las revistas.
* Direct object pronouns usually precede the conjugated form of the verb. When used with any negative expression (such as no or nunca), the D.O. pronouns are placed after the negative expression. ‐ Ellos no necesitan los libros.
‐ Miguel tiene el gato.
