Media Release – For Immediate Release FAMILY FRIENDLY COMEDY SHOWCASE IS BACK FOR MOTHER’S DAY! DAVE NICHOLLS, JAMES MUSTAPIC, MELANIE BRACEWELL AND TIM MULLER IN WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT After a sell-out season last year, Wash Your Mouth Out is back in the 2016 NZ International Comedy Festival powered by Flick Electric Co. for a one night only show on May 8th. The show is all new, and there are some fresh-faces in the lineup, but the goal is the same: to blow the audience away with engaging, family friendly comedy that’s smart, not smut. The Mother’s Day showcase at Loft (Q Theatre) brings two of the masterminds behind last year’s show; Dave Nicholls and Tim Muller, together with rising stars Melanie Bracewell and James Mustapic. Melanie is charismatic, and won the 2015 Raw Comedy Quest. Dave is energetic, and was nominated for Best Newcomer in the 2014 NZ Comedy Guild Awards. James is quick-witted, and won a science rapping competition once. Tim is dry and quirky and hasn’t won anything; but he keeps soldiering on, which we all think is really admirable. The Wash Your Mouth Out brand aims to demonstrate that you can have audiences laughing out loud without resorting to the lowest common denominator. This year will be no exception, and the timing means tickets are a perfect gift for Mother’s Day and/or International No Socks Day.
