Riddle:
Alison thought of a number. She subtracted the number by 2. She then multiplied that new number by 5. The product was 60. What is Alison's number. (candy for winners)

The Distributive Property shows that when you multiply a number by brackets, or 2 numbers inside of brackets, you must multiply both numbers in the brackets to what is outside of the brackets.
Ex: 7 (c + 2)
Ex: 42 (a + 1)
Ex: 3 (x + 5)
Ex: 6 (x ­ 3)
Ex: 5 (8 ­ c)
Ex) ­4 (­5 + a)
