Your Pet’s Last Will & Testament
Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, give their home and
all they have to those they leave behind. If, with my paws, I could do the same,
this is what I’d ask…
To a poor and lonely stray I’d give my happy home; my bowl and cozy bed, soft
pillow and all my toys; the lap, which I loved so much; the hand that stroked my
fur; and the sweet voice that spoke my name.
I’d will to the sad, scared shelter dog or cat the place I had in my human’s loving
heart, of which there seemed no bounds.
So, when I die, please do not say, “I will never have a pet again, for the loss and
pain is more than I can stand.”
Instead, go find an unloved shelter dog or cat, one whose life has held no joy or
hope, and give my place to him/her.
This is the only thing I can give…
The love I left behind.

Thanks to people like you, hundreds of animals’ lives will be saved during the coming
winter because you cared enough to provide food, shelter, medical care and loving
tender hand to comfort and encourage them and give them hope while they wait for
their new homes. You did this through your gift to the Brown County Humane Society.
We not only provide the needed care for lost and abandoned animals, but do our best
to find them new “forever” loving homes. We also educate the new owners about
needed and humane care for their new family members.
Please consider a membership, a year-end donation or both to continue efforts to
help our lost and abandoned animals. Send donations to 1301 South Valley Street,
New Ulm, MN 56073 or call at 507-359-2312 for further information.
Together, we make a huge difference in the lives of these animals. THANK YOU for
joining with us in these efforts. We cannot do it without YOU. You are the real heroes
who give life to countless animals each year.
From all of our volunteers and the Board of Directors, again, we Thank You.

shivering in the snow, foraging for scraps of food, and
perhaps drying without any possibility of comfort.

SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS
Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. and each day 70,000 puppies
and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be
enough homes for all these animals. As a result, every year 4 to 6 million
animals are euthanized because there are no homes for them. Therefore,
the BCHS strongly encourage you to spay and neuter your pets so we can
control the number of unwanted and abandoned animals.
