setting to host your wedding. The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort &
Spa, AAA 4-Diamond resort, features 343 luxuriously appointed guest rooms. The resort
stands amidst lush tropical gardens and boasts the largest freshwater pool on the island,
two hot tubs, dining in two oceanfront restaurants, a poolside café, lobby and pool bars,
24 hour room service, fitness room, full service spa, concierge, gift shops, car rental,
Westin Kids' Club and a fully equipped dive shop.
The Governor's Ballroom is positioned on the north side of the property and has 5600
sq. ft. of function space. Its west exposure has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the
Caribbean Sea. The lawn patio area offers a spectacular setting for wedding ceremonies,
cocktail receptions and alfresco dinners. Complimenting this ballroom and on the south
end of the resort is our Galleon Junior ballroom with an additional 2600 sq. ft. It too
has a pre-function area, ideal for cocktail receptions and welcome events. For those
wishing to be wed in bare feet, we have two semi-private beach areas reserved for
stunning wedding ceremonies. Our beautiful selection of indoor and outdoor wedding
venues can accommodate groups of 10 to 500 guests.
Our luxuriously appointed guest rooms include eight suites featuring Westin's Heavenly
Bed® and Heavenly Bath®. Our two Presidential oceanfront suites and one and two
bedroom Parlor suites are perfect for entertaining.

with two great options. The Governor’s Ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows to the sea, is an
ideal setting for groups with up to 320 guests (pictured below). Galleon Junior Ballroom seats
up to 100 guests (not pictured).

Frequently Asked Questions
 What are your booking policies? With a group room block of 30 room nights (10
rooms per night for 3 nights) or more, we are able to book your wedding program up to
one year in advance of your wedding day. We are also able to provide you and your
guests with special discounted room rates. If you are simply looking for a venue for you
and your beloved to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony, please enquire and we would
be happy to check for availability.
 How do I book vendors? We want your wedding planning to be like a Caribbean
breeze, so we are happy to book your wedding vendors on your behalf. This ensures that
your vendors are reputable and that you will receive one bill at the end of your function.
 Will I have an onsite wedding coordinator? You will always have a contact in the
Sales & Catering department to help you through the entire planning process! Once onsite, one of our Westin Wedding Specialists will provide on-site coordination to ensure
your Big Day is flawless. For those guests with extensive wedding programs and special
coordination needs, we recommend working with a personal wedding coordinator from
Celebrations.
 What happens if it rains? Your ceremony and reception will always be booked with
an indoor or sheltered back up venue option, at no extra charge and based on
availability. Not to worry though – it’s typically sunny in Grand Cayman!
 What are your deadlines for a final guest count and guest entrée selections?
Final guest counts and entrée selections must be submitted to your Westin Wedding
Specialist no later than 30 days prior to the event. After this date, your guest guarantee
may not be reduced; however we will accommodate any additions. We request that you
do provide as much advanced notice as possible for any increases.
 What is your cancellation policy? Each cancellation policy will be outlined in your
personal rooms and event contract with the Westin. Please refer to this contract for
individual guest room and food and beverage program cancellation policies.
 Will you require deposits? Upon signing your event contract, we will require a 20%
deposit of the estimated master account. Additional deposits will be outlined in your
contract; 110% of the total master account is due 30 days prior to group arrival and any
overage amounts collected will be fully refunded once the master account is approved.

Getting Married Cayman Style
The Cayman Islands Government has made it easy for visitors to get married in this romantic
Western Caribbean island trio. There is no residency or waiting period required for visitors
wishing to get married in Cayman!
To get married in the Cayman Islands, couples must first arrange for a Marriage Officer within
the Cayman Islands and apply for a special marriage license for non-residents granted by the
Governor and we are happy to arrange for this on your behalf.
Couples will need to provide the following where applicable when applying:
 Marriage Officer’s name must be written on the application form.
 Full names of both bride and groom.
 Both parties’ permanent address of residence.
 Temporary address while in Cayman.
 Occupation of both parties.
 Father’s name of both parties.
 Valid passports or visas and photo identification.
 Provide documentation if divorced or widowed.
 Two witnesses present for the ceremony.
 Proof of parental consent if one or both of the parties is under the age of 18.
 Couple must arrange for a Marriage Officer.
 Nonresident couples must apply for a special marriage license granted by the Governor.
 Cayman Islands International Immigration Department pink slip showing proof of entry
or boarding passes from their cruise ship or other documents proving they are
passengers legally in port.
 The fee of $250, together with a $12.5 stamp duty must accompany the documents. This
does not include the services of the minister performing the ceremony.
In addition to the special license which may be granted by the Governor, marriages can take
place in the Islands on the authority of certificates issued by a civil registrar or marriage officer.
Most of the Islands' ministers of religion are marriage officers, appointed by the Governor, and a
civil registrar is one by virtue of his office. All marriages must be attended by a marriage officer
and by two other witnesses. Marriages must take place between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.,
and with doors to the premises open.
