Usage restrictions
As the recipient of a grant from a TELUS Community Action Team you have been authorized to display the TELUS
name and logo in association with your program, as an acknowledgement and/or recognition for the support received
from TELUS.
This permission to display the TELUS name and logo does not constitute a transfer of any intellectual property right
belonging to TELUS and is provided on the condition(s):

You agree to send a final mock-up of the logo usage to your TELUS designate for approval prior to any publication;

The use of the TELUS name or logo shall contain a faithful and accurate reproduction in colour, design and
appearance, without embellishment, in accordance with the instructions provided by TELUS;

The use of the TELUS name or logo shall adhere to the guidelines and standards provided by TELUS, and will only be
used for the purpose of acknowledgement or recognition;
■■
TELUS has the right to withdraw this permission, at any time, for any reason;
■■
The TELUS logo must not be the predominant feature on any material (web, advertising collateral, etc.). This means
(at minimum) that the TELUS name or logo may not be displayed larger or more prominently than other logos;

The TELUS logo must not be used on any web site that is in violation of any applicable laws or governmental
regulations;
■■
The TELUS logo must appear by itself; it may not be combined with any other graphic or textual elements and may
not be used as a design element of any other logo or trademark.
The TELUS logo/trademark may only be scaled proportionately. Never squish it horizontally or vertically or distort it in any
manner. Scale graphically by grabbing a corner rather than the side of the graphic. Scale in a dialogue box by typing the
same percentage in both the horizontal and vertical scales, and/or selecting an option to scale proportionally.

Clear space
The illustration below describes the clear space that must always surround the TELUS logo. The space above and
below the logo is equal to one-half the cap height of the letter “T” in “TELUS”. The minimum space to the left and
right must be at least equal to the cap height of the letter “T”.
Registration mark

The logo and registration mark may not be altered in any way. The symbol ® must appear next to the word “TELUS”
in the TELUS logo.

The ® is intended to appear as small as possible and still be legible, even on large applications.
The minimum size for the ® with the logo is 4 points.

When appearing in running text, the ® is set at 33% of the font size to a minimum of 4 points and top-aligned
with the font’s cap height. Items are identified with a registration mark the first time they appear in the text only.
Subsequent occurrences are not marked.

The registration mark always appears in the same colour as the logo type.
■■
The registration mark does not appear on signage or vehicle identification.
Minimum size — web
To ensure legibility on-screen, do not reproduce the logo at sizes where the logotype is smaller than
67 pixels wide. All other elements of the logo should remain in proper proportion to this width. If your application
requires branding less than 67 pixels, just type the name: TELUS.

To ensure legibility in print, do not reproduce the logo at sizes where the logotype is smaller than 15 mm. If your
application requires branding less than 15 mm, just type the name: TELUS.

The approved colour values for print application are:

Pantone 376 or 4 colour process 50% cyan, 0% magenta, 100% yellow, 0% black
TELUS Purple:
Pantone 2745 or 4 colour process 100% cyan, 94% magenta, 0% yellow, 0% black
One-colour reproduction
If using the full-colour (special or CMYK) version is too expensive or inappropriate for the desired printing method, then
you may use one of the official one-colour versions. For one-colour applications, the TELUS logo may be entirely black or
TELUS purple.
