Clarify whether it's 50,000 pieces of canvas with length of 70 meters or it's 50,000 meters? Same is the question for blended cloth & cotton

In the specifications of Iron Pegs it is mentioned that “Length: 50cm”. Does this mean that length should be 50cm with curve or without
curve?
The peg is 50cm inclusive of the bend.

Please kindly confirm us whether the cotton rope is twisted type or braided type. As far as we know, “three” means twisted, not braided.
However, according to the specification in Annex A, it was noticed “Diameter : 12~14mm three standard braiding rope with a minimum
tensile strength of 300 Kg.” Therefore it would be helpful if you confirm us the type of Cotton Rope.

In the specifications of Blended Cloth it is mentioned that “Colour: Light Blue”. The specified colour is not clear. Can you please confirm the specific
colour shade?
Any shade of light blue is accepted.
According to “2.4 Offer”, it was noticed, “Please submit your offer using the Annexes provided. Offers not conforming to the requested formats may be
not taken into consideration.” However, we could not find Annexes provided financial offer form. We highly appreciated if you send us the “requested
format”.
Regarding the financial offer there is no Annex attached to this ITB. Please compile your financial offer in a free format but as per instructions in paragraph
2.4.2 Content of Financial Offer.

Advise whether the quantity will be reduced as we are quoting based on the complete quantity as per the enquiry.
At the moment these are our requirements. It is unlikely that quantities are reduced. This may be due to funds availability or other unforseen circumstances. In
any case paragraph 2.7 of the ITB will apply.

What is the mode of payment for estimated cost of test.
Payment shall be made by the bidder directly to the laboratory concerned. As for method of payment requested by the latter, bidders should liaise with the
laboratories.
Do we need to submit the samples of all items or only CANVAS sample is to be tested in laboratory?
Only the canvas material sample should be sent to the laboratory.
Deadline for submission of Visual inspection sample to UNHCR : Please kindly confirm us the deadline of 2 m2 sample which will be used to UNHCR
Global Service Center for Visual inspection.
There is no deadline for sending the samples for visual inspection. UNHCR provided the estimated time required to complete the laboratory tests and the
deadline for submission of offers. It is the bidder's responsibility to submit the sample in due time so as to be able to meet the closing date and time for
submission of offers.
We accept all rules of International chamber of commerce Incoterms 2010, what we need to attach or provide anything related to incoterms 2010 in
technical bid.
In this regard please refer to paragraph 2.4.2 of the ITB.
Please send us brief information regarding 2nd hand containers, that what it should be in size? How many containers we can use for delivering our goods.
There is no specific size required for the second hand containers.
In the specifications of Canvas it is mentioned that “Quality: 90% cotton canvas and 10% polyamide”. Is it acceptable if we submit 100% cotton canvas
which can meet all other specifications?
Please note that Annex A has been updated on 28/06/2013. Regarding the material proposed, provided that minimum specifications are met, any quality
improvement is acceptable.

Can we quote for any particular item or is it necessary to quote for all items?
Quote should be submitted for all items.
We aware that you are asking for the samples to be tested in an inspection agency, could you please kindly clarify that is that compulsory for every bidder
or just applicable for the bidder who win the contract?

UNHCR wrote in paragraph 2.4.2 Content of Financial offer under the heading of Unit Cost: Unit price per KG EXW, Unit price FCA/FOB per kg, Unit
price per kg CFR Oran. Question: Usually Canvas and Blended cloth measures per meter for price and quantity purpose. Does UNHCR want it in KG?

The unit of measure is indicated wrongly in the ITB. For canvas and blended cloth unit price/roll; for the rope unit price /coil; for the bamboo poles and pegs
unit price/piece should be used.
In the specification of weight, it was noticed, “640~680 g/m2+-10% in finished state.” Please kindly inform us your preference in the compounded rate of
canvas fabric weight and treatment on surface coating separately. For example, the weight of canvas fabric is 400g/m2 and the weight of waterproofing
coating is 280g/m2. Therefore total weight is 680g/m2.
