6 January – 6 February
Road users accessing the University from Vincent Drive will be able to turn
left towards University Road West and New Fosse Way or right to access
Medical School staff car parks. The Vincent Drive roundabout will remain
open during this phase, however please note there will be no right turn
from University Road West. In order to minimise disruption to road users
and pedestrians it is advised that staff and visitors use alternative routes
to and from the Edgbaston campus, such as South and North Gates.

Road users accessing the University from Vincent Drive will be able to turn
left towards University Road West and New Fosse Way or right to access
Medical School staff car parks. Road users accessing the University and
Medical School from New Fosse Way will be able to enter and exit using
the new road layout.

Pedestrian access
Two pedestrian routes will be available throughout the works. University staff
and visitors the Medical School should use the zebra crossing at Vincent Drive,
signposted ‘Staff and Medical School.’ For visitors to the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital and Women’s Hospital the most direct pedestrian route will be
via the footpath signposted ‘Old QE, New QE and Women’s Hospital.’
Public transport
Current bus stops at Vincent Drive and University Road West will be out
of service during these works. Temporary bus stops will be provided on
Vincent Drive and New Fosse Way.
Please use designated routes wherever possible in order to ensure
safety for road users and pedestrians.
