to integrate non-networked serial devices into Common Industrial Protocol
(CIP) networks, as well as gateways for migration from fieldbus to Ethernet,
and gateways to interconnect Rockwell Automation PLCs and PACs with

Anybus Communicator
Anybus Communicator is a certified and proven gateway family connecting
automation devices with their serial interface to fieldbus and industrial Ethernet
networks. With its reliability, functionality, compatibility and ease of use, the
Communicator is a compelling choice for network enabling serial devices.
The Communicator has the ability to convert almost any serial protocol
including DF1/Modbus-RTU to fielbus/Ethernet without any programming
or PLC function blocks.
Anybus X-gateway
Anybus X-gateway family is a product line consisting of over 200 robust individual
stand alone gateways for migration and inter-networking of PLC networks and
systems. The X-gateways help system integrators to easily interconnect machines
and networks, enabling consistent information flow throughout the entire plant.
The diversity of the X-gateway with its network to network possibilities and
with its rugged industrial design and certifications make this gateway a popular
infrastructure choice among system integrators.
HMS Partnership with Rockwell Automation
HMS Industrial Networks partnered with Rockwell Automation in China to
win the bid on a new subway line in Beijing. Initially 100 pieces of the Anybus
Communicator for ControlNet were used in the station equipment monitoring
and control system (BAS system). This ControlLogix based system was used on
the No. 4 subway line, which runs south to north through the heart of the city
and is 28.2 km long with 24 stations.
