Please Note: these illustrations show the preferred designs to date. The feedback results of all the questions answered by you and the local community in the recent consultations have been analysed. Along with the results from the independent design review undertaken by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), both will be fed into the design process to make sure we are getting best value for money from the project. www.oxford.gov.uk/towerblocksrefurb Get Involved Your say, your way Good progress is being made by the Tower Block Representatives. Some of the Block Reps attended the non-formal bidding day in February where we carried out a presentation of the refurbishment programme to potential contractors and companies. All parties at the event, including the Block Reps, had an opportunity to ask questions of the design team, the contractors and us, the council. ‘Get involved’ as an Energy Champion The next big event is the contractor formal bidding day. The Block Reps will be part of process with us interviewing contractors and companies that want to be part of the Refurbishment project. This is a new experience for many reps and we are providing support and training at each stage. If you are interested in becoming a Block Rep visit www.oxford.gov.uk/getinvolved or call 0800 227 767 We are looking for tenants to act as Energy Champions. This is a great opportunity to learn more about ways to save energy and to support your neighbours, helping them keep their energy bills low and helping protect the environment.
