Dear Future Member, Credit unions began as an idealistic, yet practical movement. The concept was simple: member/owners pool their savings and lend to each other. From the beginning, credit unions sought to improve financial lives by helping individuals and families to save and borrow prudently. Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives. Our primary focus is to serve our members well, not to make a profit. Earnings are returned to our members in the form of lower loan rates, higher interest on deposits. To open your accounts follow these simple steps: 1. Complete the Account Card and Overdraft Services Consent 2. Include a copy of your driver’s license with your initial deposit (minimum $5 for savings and $25 for checking)and return all forms to: Oklahoma Employees Credit Union ATTN: New Accounts P.O.
