Tools and Hardware Catalog Data CA325009EN Effective March 2016 Supersedes 325-23 January 2011 COOPER POWER SERIES Wire clips, grips and grounding lugs Non-static ground wire clips Ground wire clips Eaton eliminates a major source of radio and television interference with its Cooper Power™ series inexpensive non-static ground wire clips. They prevent trouble-causing air gaps and static discharges by permanently maintaining a high pressure contact between the clip and the ground wire. Installation is simple; drive the clip into the wood until the clip is firmly seated, then insert the ground wire under the clip finger. Continue driving until the finger protrudes through the slot in the body of the clip. Then bend the body over the ground wire and into the wood. Eaton securely fastens ground wires to poles and crossarms with its Cooper Power series easyto-install clips. Make high pressure, large area contact with the ground wire and prevent radio interference producing static discharges by using ground wire clips. Ground wire clips are quickly installed by driving one nail and then bending the tail back over the nail head. Copperweld nails are recommended for copper clips. Guy wire clips To secure guy wire strands quickly, use Eaton's Cooper Power™ series Kearney™ guy wire clips. They do the job in a fraction of the time compared to using a guy wire strand and leave no protruding ends. They are pre-shaped and easily closed with pliers. T-bolt grounding lugs Eaton connects ground wires to transformers or steel structures with its Cooper Power series heavy-duty lugs. The threaded stud fits all standard transformer tapped grounding pads. A high clamping force prevents the wire from pulling out. The wire may be run 90° from the position illustrated. Shown above left to right are ground wire clips, guy wire clips, ground wire clips and nails, and T-bolt grounding lugs.
