Singapore’s Games Industry
This brochure highlights some games developers and publishers in Singapore, and brings together an
exciting selection of game titles produced by homegrown game companies and talent.
GAMES FOR SINGAPORE AND BEYOND
Games form a relatively nascent sector in the media industry. Yet, it is growing at a fast pace. In 2010,
Singapore’s games sector companies and employment exceeded double the number from 2004.
Singapore has been keen to engage international partners and institutes of higher learning to build
critical skills and provide greater opportunities for local game developers. This also pushes homegrown
companies and talents to come up with award-winning games of their own.
Over the years, Singapore game companies have broken into the international games market, creating
popular web-based games and games for mobile, console and social media platforms. Singapore-made
games have won a number of awards and the hearts of audiences worldwide.
Home-grown successes include Touch Dimensions, LambdaMu and Mojo Forest. LambdaMu released the
iOS game Dice Soccer in July 2011 which shot to the top download spot in 15 countries. Touch Dimensions’
Autumn Dynasty has been named one of the top five “New Ways to Play” iPad games in Apple’s official
Mac App Store Best of 2012 awards and Mojo Forest’s 2Fuse was the fifth best-selling iPhone game in the
Philippines last January.
The success of these game titles and companies amongst others proves the strong potential of this
promising and growing industry in Singapore.

SUPPORT FOR LOCAL GAME DEVELOPERS
Games Solution Centre
The Games Solution Centre (GSC), an initiative by the MDA and managed by Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), is a
one-stop resource centre that provides a rapid prototyping development environment for Singapore-based
small-medium games enterprises to develop their games. The centre is supported by industry partners such
as Sony Computer Entertainment Asia (SCE Asia), Unity, Autodesk® and Hewlett-Packard Singapore (HP),
among others.
To date, nine games have been launched in GSC, including Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Vita, Micro
Monster Stadium, Whakan, Page Chronica, Pendulab – EdenStory and the newly launched Autumn Dynasty.
GSC manages the Singapore Game Box (www.sggb.sg), an interactive platform that showcases madeby-Singapore game titles and allows local game developers to test and gather feedback for their games.
Mobile, online and console games carried on the platform includes Rocketbirds, Autumn Dynasty, Pixel
People, Social Life and more.
