Moumita Das, Network Expert, TATA Consultancy Services
Introducing Moumita Das
Moumita has been working as a network expert in design and implementation for TATA
Consultancy Services (TCS) in India. TCS provides IT infrastructure services to a large
number of global customers using Juniper products across domains. Moumita began her
career in 2010 as a network engineer, designing networks with Juniper routers, switches, and
firewalls over various industry sectors. Creating network designs and representing her ideas
on the plans to implement a better network are what drive her to accomplish her goals.
Career Path
Moumita had a very determined career path, deciding to pursue a successful and
compelling career in the networking domain just after completing her engineering degree.
Working on code always inspired her, even during her college days, and she was fascinated
by the way the world communicates. It’s no wonder, then, that Moumita chose to become
a network engineer at the first opportunity that presented itself. She began to work on
implementation of switches and routers, and has gradually progressed to designing her
own networks for one of the largest multinational companies in the world.
Engaging with Juniper
During the initial days of her career with her previous organization, Juniper products were
being sold by IBM as a partner, and there was a need of an engineer to learn the Junos®
operating system and implement all Juniper projects. She readily took up the challenge and
got trained and certified as well. Her very first experience with Junos OS made her realize
that this was the operating system she wanted to explore, and she became very attached
to all of the products running it. With her increasing interest in Juniper, she became one of
the youngest network engineers to become a Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert
(JNCIE-SP) along with earning a professional certification in enterprise and a specialist
certification in security. She has been actively participating in Juniper Tech and Partner
Summits and keeps a keen eye on the latest Juniper offerings. Her role in TCS also allows
her to engage actively in Juniper-related activities for key customers of TCS.

Being an Ingenious Champion in both enterprise and service provider tracks has helped
Moumita in her role as a design and implementation expert by providing a very broad look
at the way Juniper technologies can be used to build a very strong and reliable network.
The knowledge obtained from these tracks is practical and immensely important, and
that shows in actual designs and implementations. With the combination of being a JNCIE
along with Ingenious Champion in dual tracks, TCS can take full advantage of Moumita’s
expertise on key projects and build confidence in customers who rely on Juniper solutions.
