INTRODUCnON
We're going to talk about the physical activity that you did YESTERDAY. What day
was yesterday?Physical activity is bodily movement in which you move your arms and legs.
Some physical activities move you from place to place, like running or walking. What are
some other physical activities like that? Some physical activities you can do in one place, like
jumping jacks or sit ups. Can you tell me any other physical activities that you can do in one
place?

ACTUAL TIME ACnVE
Sometimes during games or physical activities you may stop and do something else,
like resting or waiting in line. We are just concerned with the time you were actually active.
Example: if you went bike riding for 20 minute", but you stopped once and went into a friends
house for 5 minutes, you were actually actively riding your bike for 15 minutes.

PROBING GUIDELINES:
1.
Assume most play/games are not continuous. (do not have to probe
for resting/waiting time in games like 4 square, relays).
Probe for rest time (taking a break). Subtract frqffi total and give
feedback.
3.
If "practices" are mentioned, break down and ask specifics. Code
specifics separately.
If a sport played was not a part of an official team practice, ask how
much time the child was "in the game" or "actually playing".
