UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
IrrigatePlus can compute using units in the International System (IS) or in the US System (US).
The unit system selected to be used for Flow determine whether the other magnitudes of the
project will be expressed in US Customary untis (US) or in metric units (IS). That is, when
selecting flow units in LPS, LPM, MLD, M3H or M3D, all other magnitudes will
w use the
International System (IS). If, on the other hand, the selected flow units are in CFS, GPM, AFD,
MGD or IMGD, the US System will be used.
To change the flow units we can open the viewer located at the top-right
top right corner, go to
Options >> Hydraulics and check the units we want to use in the Flow Units field.
It can also be changed by clicking on Project >> Defaults in the main menu bar.
Based on the units system defined in Flow Units,, we will need to select the same unit system
for the length in the workspace.
To set the dimensions of the workspace, on the main menu we click on View >> Dimensions.
Dimensions
In the Map Units field we select Meters if working with the International System (IS) or Feet if
working with US customary units (US).

of pipes.
