Total building envelope refurbishment for three blocks of high rise flats - A-rated PVCu windows, doors, curtain walling, balcony enclosures plus external wall insulation (EWI). Client: Fife Council Architect: Fife Council Contractor: CMS Window Systems CMS Window Systems was contracted to manufacture and install A-rated PVCu windows for 216 homes in three tower blocks, complemented by new doors, balcony enclosures and aluminium curtain walling for communal areas. Client: Miller Developments / Emerson Architect: Halliday Fraser Munro Contractor: Bowmer & Kirkland Providing the HQ for engineering giant Emerson Process Management, D2 is a contemporary office complex close to Aberdeen which features aluminium curtain walling which was manufactured and installed by CMS. Aluminium curtain walling for new build medical centre. Client: NHSL Health Centres / NHS Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council Architect: Reiach & Hall Architects Contractor: Graham Construction A new integrated facility at the heart of the community, the new Wishaw Health Centre is a three and five story complex providing NHS healthcare facilities alongside North Lanarkshire council’s new Housing Office and Library, a shop and café. CMS manufactured and installed all the aluminium curtain walling and side hung windows for this contemporary building. Client:Cityheart Architect: Cooper Cromar Contractor: Graham Construction CMS designed, manufactured and installed high performance, contemporary style aluminium windows for the building’s external envelope. Using a thermally broken system, over 500 windows were installed on the project, as well as bespoke panels, as part of the external envelope refurbishment solution. Client: Mace Real Estate / The University of Edinburgh Architect: Kalyvides Partnership Contractor: Graham Construction CMS was appointed to manufacture and install aluminium windows and curtain walling for a part renovation, part new build complex to provide apartments for around 300 students. With thermal breaks to reduce heat loss, the aluminium solution delivered improved overall thermal performance of the glazing system to comply with the latest requirements of current building standards. Port Glasgow High School Shared Campus, Port Glasgow. Aluminium windows, curtain walling, doors, louvres, Brise Soleil for new build schools complex. Client: Inverclyde Council Architect: Archial NORR Contractor: Graham Construction CMS were appointed to deliver an extensive external envelope package as part of a two year new build project to construct a Shared Campus Secondary School. This replaced two schools and integrated two others to create a modern educational and community facility. Client: Salford Village Consortium / University of Salford Architect: Sheppard Robson Contractor: Graham Construction CMS manufactured and installed more than 1000 aluminium windows and doors, along with curtain walling and louvres, for the new £81 million student accommodation development Salford Student Village. The project was delivered in just 12 weeks, with EPDM gaskets applied in the factory to save time and ensure consistency. Client: Hammerson Architect: BDP (Building Design Partnership) Contractor: Graham Construction CMS was appointed to manufacture and install aluminium windows, doors, high capacity automated revolving doors and curtain walling for a two-year 100,000 sq ft new build project which extended one of Scotland’s largest shopping centres. Portavadie Leisure & Spa, Loch Fyne Aluminium windows, doors and timber aluminium composite curtain walling for luxury loch-side hotel and spa. Client: Portavadie Estates Architect: Stewart Associates Contractor: Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd CMS manufactured and installed aluminium windows, doors and timber aluminium composite curtain walling for a new build hotel and spa complex. Thermal demands were matched with aesthetic requirements which included installation of selfcleaning glass to maintain high quality visual appeal for clients. Client: Argyll & Bute Council Contractor: Graham Construction CMS was appointed to manufacture and install aluminium windows and curtain walling structural glazing for a project which transformed a grade B listed former school building and added a new build extension to deliver new council offices and community facilities for Argyll & Bute Council. Client: Architect: Scottish Government Gordon Murray & Alan Dunlop Architects / BMJ Architects Contractors: Graham Construction (shell & core) Balfour Beatty (internals) CMS manufactured and installed over 4000m2 of aluminium curtain walling for this £85m crime-fighting agencies complex. This consisted of 192 full height ladder bays, four large areas of glazing to the central atrium, specially designed louvres, high specification laminated spandrel panels and a large 3m diameter automatic revolving door – all with a bronze anodized finish, for zero maintenance and guaranteed visual appearance for the lifespan of the building.
