The Austrian Parliament building
is one of the most gorgeous and
visited places by tourists in Vienna, Austria. This beautiful place
has you enter with a lovely fountain in the front. Tours of the complex are given when the parliament is not in session discussing
topics of issues like their currency,
schilling.

to visit would be the monumental
city hall. Built over 100 years ago
from 1872—1883, is located right
in the heart of the city. This huge
and spectacular building can be
viewed from the elegant and quiet
garden in Rathaus Park.

History of Vienna
The Danube River runs through the city of
Vienna. Tourists can take ferry’s down the
river to the Austrian capital along to Bratislava in the Republic of Solvakia, all the way
down to Budapest, Hungary. The Danube
River is also part of Vienna’s large canal
system which is also called the Vienna River
or the Wienfluss.
1. During the Neopolic Wars Vienna was taken by
Napolean twice, in 1805 and 1809.
2. Vienna people start to starve and becomevery
ill during World War I becase of the lack of
supplies sent to the major city. (1914 —
1918)

3. In the March of 1938 Nazi Germany and the
leader Adolf Hitler conquered and occupied
the city of Vienna. A few months later many
synagogues and jewish temple were burned or
destroyed during an event called the Riechskristallnacht

and split it into five different zones between
the United States, the Soviet Union, France
