The goal of this project w as to offset the energy usage of Salt Lake City?s new Public Safety Building located at 200 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT. The site, a capped landfill, presented a unique set of parameters. . In order to keep the landfill' s engineered surface unaltered, a ballasted array w as designed. M adison High School, Rexburg, ID Project: 86.24kW ballasted roof mount Creative Energies assisted the Rexburg, ID school district w ith their application for funding by the Idaho State Office of Energy Resources. Based on the quality of the proposal, M adison High School w as selected as a grant w inner and aw arded funding for this 86 kW solar pow er system. Creative Energies developed the full system design, coordinated all permitting, provided structural and electrical engineering and made all utility company arrangements for net metering and inspection. The design and installation prioritized avoiding any penetrations in the new EPDM membrane roof. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] P ublic Safety Building Salt Lake City, Utah Project: 30kW Glass canopy Creative Energies installed this high profile solar array over the entrance canopy of the Salt Lake Public Safety building. The canopy consists of custom solar modules w hich allow sunlight to shine betw een the silicon cells to give a lighter feeling underneath the canopy. The facility, w hich includes a new Emergency Operations Center serves Salt Lake City residents, visitors and businesses, better meeting the needs of Utah' s Capitol city. ackson Hole WY, City J Project: M ultiple Installs 475 total kW Creative Energies has installed nearly 500kW of solar generation at eight sites for the City of Jackson Hole, Wyoming since 2009. The array' s are located on a Bus Barn, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Tow n Hall, and other city facilities. These projects have been essential in allow ing the Tow n of Jackson to meet its ambitions energy reduction targets. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] F enske M edia, Rapid City, South Dakota Project: 152kW Ground M ount Fenske M edia, a major regional printing and direct mail company, sought to reduce their electric energy use and manage their peak pow er demand charges. The solar array is mounted on a hillside adjacent to the building in order to increase visibility. To provide highest economic return, the array is oriented such that the maximum output occurs betw een 1pm and 2pm, coinciding w ith the buildings peak demand. * * This is the largest solar power system in the state of South Dakota. M esa Verde National Park Water Treatment Plant 76kW Ground M ount Creative Energies along w ith its design and engineering partner, M ACTEC Engineering and Consulting, w as selected from a national pool of bidders to design and install a grid tied solar pow er system at this National Park w ater treatment plant. Space constraints, topography and preexisting structures w ere accommodated through a highly customized system design. The project required compliance w ith National Park and ARRA standards and reporting. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] S Project: 224 kW, Rooftop Ballasted T Idaho Army National Guard, M aintenance Facility ummit County, UT Justice Center Creative Energies w as selected through an RFP process to design and build a complex solar system for the Summit County, UT Justice Center. The facility rooftop w as covered w ith numerous HVAC units, vents and other stationary items that prohibited a single array. The solution to this problem w as to install 17 unique arrays on multiple roof surfaces. The system w as designed to offset 40% of the facilities annual kWh usage. The facility is located in a high w ind and snow load area, requiring special attention to design. actical Unmanned Aerial Support (TUAS) Project: 100kW ground mount Creative Energies installed a 100kW ground mounted solar array at an Army National Guard base near M ountain Home, ID. The installation features 408 solar modules configured in three sub-arrays and mounted at a 40-degree angle. The system utilizes Enphase micro-inverter' s, providing the ow ner w ith the ability to monitor and verify the performance of each individual solar module. Shallow bedrock conditions required a customized solution to mounting. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] B lack Diamond Equipment Project: 22kW roof mount Black Diamond Equipment is an Internationally recognized outdoor gear manufacturer. Creative Energies w as hired to install a 22kW roof mounted array, The shake shingle roof posed certain challenges as did the roof structure due to it' s age. The system utilizes micro-inverters to maximize production and reduce snow shading issues during w inter months. N orthw ood Place, Ketchum ID multi-family housing Project: 55.5kW Roof-mounted Creative Energies w as selected to design and install a complex group of grid tied solar pow er systems on a low -income housing development. The installation included 247 solar modules mounted on tw elve different roofs. The eleven inverters w ere interconnected w ith five separate electrical services. Aesthetics and the maximization of energy output from a limited roof space w ere driving forces in the design. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] N ORTHEA ST W YOM ING W ELCOM E CENTER PROJECT: 5 0 KW SOLA R ON 5 ROOFS Creative Energies w as chosen to consult on the development of this Wyoming State Welcome Center. The State of Wyoming w ould like to generate more electricity than it consumes. The selected approach utilizes extensive energy efficiency strategies, a large solar pow er system and a ground source heat pump for heating and cooling. This complex installation utilized five different roof surfaces and w as carefully integrated w ith building function and aesthetics. The prominent south-facing roof has a single plane of 25 kW of solar modules stretching from eave to eave to create a uniform and striking visual image w hile maximizing energy production in the space available. U niversity of Utah Community Solar Program Project- Over 190 installs, totalling 950kW Residential solar program offered to University of Utah students, staff and alumni. Creative Energies w as one of tw o solar contractors selected through an RFP process run by the University of Utah sustainability office in cooperation w ith Utah Clean Energy. The program exceeded all expectations, becoming one of the largest community Solar programs in the country. Participants w ere encouraged to donate their SREC' s to the University as the school strives to reduce it' s carbon footprint. 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected] H armons, Santa Clara UT Project: 700 kW D-Dome System January 2016, Creative Energies w ill be installing a 700kW roof mounted ballasted solar system for Harmon Grocery' s new store located in Santa Clara, Utah. The system consists of (2,260) Canadian solar modules w ith Solaredge Optimizers. Everest D-Dome racking w ill be used to maximize system size. The system is expected to offset 40% of the store' s annual kWh usage. 455 West 1700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115 - Phone 801-487-6489 Salt Lake City, UT - Lander, WY - Victor, ID - CEsolar.com - [email protected] 801-487-6489 - www.CEsolar.com - [email protected]
