Major Cities Chiefs Association
2016 Sponsorship Program
MCCA is a professional association of Chief police executives
representing the largest cities in the United States, Canada and the
United Kingdom. MCCA membership is comprised of Chiefs and
Sheriffs of the sixty-seven largest law enforcement agencies in the
United States, ten largest in Canada and two in the United Kingdom.
They serve 91.4 million people (70 US, 11.5 Canada, 9.0 UK) with a
sworn workforce of 241,257 (162,425 US, 21,939 Canada, 56,893 UK)
officers and non-sworn personnel.
MCCA’s strategic goals are to:
•
•
•
Guide national and international policy that affects public safety
and major cities.
Develop current and future police executive leaders.
Promote innovation and evidenced-based practices in policing.
The work of MCCA has long been supported in part by private sector
sponsors. The MCCA sponsorship program is designed to provide an
opportunity for sponsor representatives to develop relationships and
contacts during the meetings. Sponsors are able to attend all sessions
open to non-law enforcement attendees. The MCCA meeting agenda
does not provide an opportunity for presentations by sponsors.
MCCA holds three meetings each year that sponsors are invited to
attend. The number of attendees is limited to level of sponsorship.
•
•
•
2016 Winter Meeting will be held in San Antonio, TX,
on February 4 and 5, 2016.
2016 Summer Meeting will be held with the Police
Executive Research Forum and FBI National Executive Institute
Associates. The meeting is tentatively scheduled May 25 to 27,
2016, in New York, NY.
2016 Fall Meeting will be held on October 14 and 15, 2016,
before the IACP conference in San Diego, CA.
The sponsorship program offers an excellent opportunity to increase
visibility of your organization with a prominent presence during the
meetings. As a participating sponsor, your company will benefit from
exposure to members and other public safety professionals throughout
the United States and Canada with limited exposure to the United
Kingdom.
