Prewrite #1 – Cluster: Please cluster about your childhood memories. Divide
your memories into categories: friends, activities, heroes, food, toys, school,
pets, favorites, etcs. and branch off from there with specifics. Include a minimum
of 25 bubbles on your cluster.
Prewrite #2 – Dual Column Chart: Please create a dual column chart, labeling
the left hand side “Younger Years” and the right hand side “Now”. List at least 7
differences between how you were as a child and how you are now. Try to move
beyond mere physical traits.
Prewrite #3 – Draft Four Thesis Sentences: Using the ideas from your dual
column chart, draft four different thesis sentences for possible change essay
topics.
Due when you come to class Monday, September 12, 2016
Prewrite #4 – Two outlines: Using two different thesis sentences from prewrite
#3, create two detailed outlines that could be turned into a change essay.
Due when you come to class Wednesday, September 14, 2016
A rough draft of your change essay based upon one of the two outlines from
prewrite #4 is due.
